A really fantastic place to stay in a quiet but busy location. There are a number of lovely restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. Sally has a talent for interior design. You will find very cozy and tastefully furnished rooms with a fully equipped kitchen. There is a welcome video that explains everything perfectly. In the afternoon the sun shines in the garden and there are various seating areas. We would definitely book the Garden Rooms again on our next visit to Edinburgh.
Came to Edinburgh for a couple of days after some time with my daughter in the West of Scotland. The Garden Rooms provided a lovely restful interlude in this maddest of years. I appreciated the cosy comfort, and the welcome video gave all the information needed on how everything worked. Very clean and convenient, and I really felt like I had been on holiday!
Hi Pleasaunce Thank you so much for this feedback and also for coming to stay. We're so glad you could get a couple of days break from the craziness! Best Wishes Sally
Chose this place for our honeymoon and was not disappointed! Very clean, beautiful garden and the hoat was very welcoming and helpful. Will 100% be returning. Thankyou!!!
So glad you enjoyed your stay Reece. Pity the weather couldn't have been warmer for you!
The Garden Rooms were fantastic , The room was very clean and well decorated with all you need for a few days in Edinburgh with walking distance of all the castle and gardens. We particularly found the use of the garden fantastic as our friends were able to join us for drinks in the evening and sit in the garden with the pretty lights. Parking is right outside but a bit pricey but you can go a little further away (200m) for much cheaper . We would highly recommend the Garden Rooms
On opening the gate you are transported into the private tranquil garden of this fabulous property . You can`t quite believe that you are a 5 minute bus ride (23 or 27) from the bustle of Princes Street and its Castle facade. With cafes and restaurants on the doorstep , the enticement of quirky and authentic bars , choice is extremely difficult . Stay within the confines of the lighted walled garden, the slated floor , red stoned walls of this beautifully designed property and enjoy its privacy .The warmth of the underfloor heating , subdued lighting and complimentary architectural textures , creates a relaxing ambiance , very difficult to leave but making it the easiest of decisions to return . A must for any visitor to Edinburgh , why would you want to stay anywhere else ??
We had a 2 night stay during storm Ciara ! The Garden Rooms were just perfect as I was there to study for and then sit my RHS exams at the Botanical Gardens and my husband was up to watch the Rugby. The location is ideal - not too far from the station I chose to take a short taxi ride for around £8 due to the weather and me having all the luggage . The RBGE are a few minutes walk away ( East Gate ) and the local area has a good pub The Orchard and plenty of nice places to eat. Good supplies were available from the M&S store at the nearby garage however there were basics and milk left for us on arrival. Despite storm Ciara the rooms were warm and the lashing wind rain and snow didn't affect our stay in this beautiful set up. Highly recommended !
Everything is clean. Full kitchen. Nice garden and room. Even come with a Bluetooth speaker.
The Garden Rooms Edinburgh is a beautiful little escape on the outskirts of the city centre. Very stylish and modern feel with heated flooring to remove the cold winter chill. Perfect little snug for a weekend break! Great local amenities such as The Orchard pub, where you are made to feel like a local. Thank for a nice stay We would recommend to all Tom & Rebecca
The garden room is absolutely beautiful and smartly designed. We had everything we needed, in a quiet area, but close to downtown walking. Sally and Dan are great hosts! We absolutely loved our anniversary weekend in Edinburgh!
Thank you for your review and for staying with us!
Stayed a long weekend at this excellent base for Edinburgh. Very comfortable, very quiet even though close to nightlife, with exclusive use of the garden being a fantastic boon (we did have sunshine and sat outside with G&Ts).
