The Garden Rooms Edinburgh is a single, fully private studio at 1A Inverleith Terrace. There are no other guests. It is a converted stone outbuilding at the end of a private walled garden, with no shared spaces of any kind.
Two minutes on foot from the Royal Botanic Gardens. Stockbridge village is a fifteen minute walk. Edinburgh city centre is twenty-five minutes on foot or ten minutes by bus.
Our outdoor bath is double-insulated and positioned at the far end of the garden for complete privacy. A stone privacy wall means nobody can see in from any direction.
It is filled fresh for every bath with clean water. No chemicals, no chlorine, no shared history. Run it warm and lower yourself in under the Edinburgh sky. Magical in summer. Extraordinary in winter.
As the welcome pack says: it is highly recommended to enjoy a starlit evening, or even a snowstorm.
The garden is yours for the duration of your stay. Walled on all sides, it is completely private. There is terrace seating, a bistro table, and festoon lighting strung around the walls.
In the evenings, the garden transforms. Turn on the wall lights and the festoon lighting from the panel beside the bifold doors. The effect is remarkable.
The studio is open plan, with the bedroom and living area separated by the kitchen. Bifold doors open the full width of the room to the garden. In good weather, the boundary between inside and outside simply disappears.
The underfloor heating keeps things warm from October through April. The blackout blinds keep the room as dark as you like. The BOSE speaker fills the space with music. The Nespresso is always ready.
We leave milk in the fridge, some Scottish delicacies and an Irn Bru, a dram of whisky, fresh coffee capsules, and the basic toiletries you need for your stay. You will also find two dressing gowns and slippers for use during your stay.

The entrance is through the slanted grey gate opposite No. 6 Inverleith Terrace.
